It doesn't matter though, because I was afraid that the nylon would be scratchy. The way the fabric actually is, is actually quite good. The ride is smooth as the air-filled tires and suspension really help over those bumps and cracks. The one thing I'm not a fan of is how if you raise the back of the stroller, all this extra fabric gathers around the baby's head, and although he doesn't fuss, he has a look of mild annoyance on his face until I push it out of his face. We had a Chicco Cortina, but that thing's not for big babies (ours has consistently been in the 95-99th percentile for height and weight), and this one nicely accommodates. We then tried the Britax B-agile, and that thing has NO suspension, and our baby bounced along with each bump and crack (yes, even the tiny, teeny ones), and I'm just talking about trying the thing out at home over the carpet and around obstacles we set up in the basement. We were going to try one more and my husband was leaning towards the BOB, but I really wanted something prettier. When we got this, it was on the condition that if the Mountain Buggy did not perform, we would get the BOB, no more experimentation. So, while this doesn't have the 2 suspension systems like the BOB, it nonetheless gives a smooth ride, and our baby has fallen asleep more than once in this thing. In the end, everyone is happy. Well, until the next time I have to adjust the back of the seat.

None of the stores around us carried the urban jungle so we looked at another model of mountain buggy and read extensively about the stroller and decided on it. Now after using it for 11 months I have moments of utter frustration with this stroller. 50% of the time, the stroller gets stuck when I try to fold it. I have to get my hand under the tire and move it so that it folds. Really don't appreciate having to do that with a really impatient baby in the car. What absolutely gets to me more than that is that 50% of the time my brake gets stuck. The left side of the brake refuses to unlock which ends up in a lot of time in me wondering if I should just abandon the stroller entirely and drive away. I mean I need to go but I will have no way to move the stroller because the brake wont unlock so now I try not to put the brake on as much as possible which has resulted in not safe scenarios for my child. Another minor thing is that the seat is not deep at all. Look at the stroller from the side. Does not give your child that super comfy deep seat of bob or uppa baby etc. Poor guy is kind of always looks uncomfortable. It does however drive pretty well.

Being that prams are not easy to find in the US, we hoped on the internet and discovered Mountain Buggy, a New Zealand brand. We are so happy we did!The Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle is a fabulous little machine. Whereas we found the Peg Perego needlessly over-engineered and hard to operate, the Urban Jungle was just the opposite. It was simple to use right out of the box! While the Peg was a real pain in the rear to set up with so many buttons and knobs (most where made of molded cheap feeling plastic), the Urban Jungle was on the road 10 minutes after arriving, with virtually no buttons. Taking off the stroller seat and replacing it with the pram (Mountain Buggy calls it a carrycot) was a snap!Once on the road, we know we made the right choice. The ride was smooth, and there is plenty of storage for everything you need for a long walk. It even rode over loose gravel and grass with no problem. Our only gripe is that it did not come with an air pump for the tires, which was not good since my mini bike tire pump barely fit.All points taken, the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle is a great hybrid stroller- perfect for bumpy roads and light trails. It is perfect for the family looking for a pram option on an 'off-road' chassis. So far, our best buy and a must have for our newborn!!
