And, I will be the first to admit, that although the BOB (Beast of Burden, for anyone curious) Stroller is the greatest stroller out of the very, very many that we tried out, I do sometimes feel like someone working there must have come from a car dealership with all of the pricey add-on's that BOB offers, some of which I really think should be included in the price of the $300+ stroller (I'm looking at you $19 cupholdersBob Handlebar Console for Single Strollers, Black). All that being said, if you enjoy getting out and walking with your baby and don't want to let the slightly chillier (especially windier) weather stop you the Weather Shield is a must have. We recently did a turkey trot with the BOB with the weather Shield on a slightly chilly, windy Thanksgiving day in Ohio and my son could not have been warmer or more comfortable. He was perfectly content inside the little bubble and even fell asleep for much of the race (another testament to the smooth ride of the BOB), the weather shield did a great job of keeping the wind off of him. The Weathershield itself does take a bit of getting used to in putting it on and taking it off, but once you get the hang of it it becomes a relatively easy task and you can pretty easily move it to a position on top of the canopy where it's out of the way and only takes a second to get back on. It's also vented pretty well, so no worries about suffocation, although I do wonder how necessary the vent over the front wheel is, since it looks like the only place where the wind could really blow into the bubble (the back vents aren't in a place where a strong wind would blow in but let in enough air, but it did stay warm in there, so I'm going to assume that BOB knew what they were doing on this one. I only had a few reasons for knocking it down from a perfect 5 star rating...First, as I noted before, it, like all of the BOB accessories is more than it really should be, for the pretty basic piece of nylon and plastic that the Weathershield really is I'd expect it to run more along the lines of $30 rather than $50 or $60, but i can't fault BOB for wanting to make a profit. Second, the only problem with the product itself is that in order to attach it you have to push back the canopy halfway, which can allow the sun to get into the eyes of your little one on the rare occasion that it's both sunny and cold. You can get around it by putting a blanket over the top of the bubble to keep the sun out (just make sure you don't block the air vents), but I think that it's really something that should have been thought of in the product development phase, where a velcro flap of fabric over the top of the bubble would have been really helpful. All in all though if you like to walk/run/jog with your little one and want to get a few more months use out of your BOB, I'd recommend picking up the Weathershield.

I just wish Bob had a rain cover that was compatible with another of their own accessories... or they had an option that was.
