3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.I've tried the Baby Bjorn, Moby Wrap, and this. This is by far my favorite carrier. The Ergobaby is the one piece of baby gear that I can not live without. The Baby Bjorn was great when my baby was a newborn, but as she got heavier, it really hurt my shoulders and neck. The Moby Wrap was too much work to put on and didn't seem that safe to me. This was perfect. For me it's been worth every penny- even though they are more expensive than many of the other carriers. I am able to nurse on the go and discreetly, which has given me freedom to get out more often. Also the weight distribution takes the strain off my shoulders. I love how compact it is and my baby seems very comfortable and content in it.

As a mom of 3 I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible, so being able to fold up or unfold a carrier that fits in my diaper bag or hangs from my stroller handle is priceless! No more deliberating... carrier or stroller... both! I'm also a small girl (5'2") and didn't want to feel overwhelmed by a carrier and didn't like the bulkiness of the padded shoulder straps on the original. The straps on the travel are minimal yet comfortable and tuck inside the pocket when stored so I don't have this awkward octopus-like carrier knocking around my house or car. Speaking of pockets, this carrier has a smaller open pocket in the front which can house the carrier like a pouch, closed shut by velcro tab. There is also the larger hood pocket where you could easily store things as well. I'm not sure if the original Ergo has this feature but I like the plastic piping on the shoulder straps to adjust up and down where the chest/back buckle hits for a more comfortable fit. And lastly, the green color is prettier than it looks in the pics and the material has a slight shine to it like a sleeping bag. It works fine with the infant insert (I have a 3 week old baby) Oh, and this carrier looks and fits great on my husband as well. Easy to put on an off. A great carrier for travel, hiking, camping and life in general! I know it sounds too good to be true... but there's really nothing bad to say about it! I love it!
